HumanLab was founded by the actors Anna Penati and Marco Zavarise.
Our common journey started 15 years ago, studying drama at the Italian Public Academy of Dramatic Arts Nico Pepe, where we met and graduated as actors in 2014. Moreover, Anna attended her MFA in Performing Arts - Acting specialization at Den Danske Scenekunstskole (The Danish National School of Performing Arts) 2021-2023.

Our team is international and cross-disciplinary. We are actors, dancers, musicians, and scientists. We come from Denmark, Italy, India and Taiwan.
Anna Penati - actress, movement director and drama lecturer.
In 2014, Anna Penati graduated as an actress from the Public Academy of Dramatic Arts Nico Pepe and holds a Master’s degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in Acting from the Danish National School of Performing Arts. Her training has been shaped by Active Analysis (Anatolij Vasiliev, Stanislavsky, Maria Knebel), Commedia dell'Arte, contemporary mask techniques, viewpoints, and movement storytelling. In addition to her work as an actress and movement director, Anna creates theater-based learning workshops and research projects for higher education, with a focus on movement composition, viewpoints, and physical storytelling. For 2023-2024, she is developing a custom theater workshop for the EU project “DigiQ” by ScienceMeltingPot, funded by the European Commission, which centers on diversity and inclusion training. Her acting career has spanned international festivals in the UK, Denmark, France, Italy, Taiwan, Spain, and Portugal.

Domenico Mannelli is an Italian composer. I'm an Italian composer, arranger, songwriter and performer.
I worked many years as a musician in theater. In Italy with the theater company "Circomare" and then with the company "Altamira Laboratory", writing the music for the performances "Don Giovanni", "The garden"and "Last night". In 2014 I moved to Denmark to work with "Altamira Studio Teater '' an international theater company based in Holstebro in residence from 2014 to 2017 at "Odin Teatret". For them I wrote the music for several performances: "The River - Dream of a poet", "By Heart - Theater concert for another time","Playroom - Acts without words'' (presented at Aprilfestival in Hjørring in 2019).
I have a Master's degree in Philosophy. In 2021 I completed the Master's in Rhythmic Composition at "Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium '' where I also just started a post master programme (Solistuddannelse). In the last two years I've got interested in: writing music across genres; investigating the relation between Architecture, Music and Poetry; defining and conceiving creative processes; teaching. Domenico is composer in the show Terminus.

Eleonora Angioletti, actress (Horsens/Arezzo, Italy)
I am a trained actor at the Italian Public Academy of Dramatic Arts Nico Pepe. Finalist at the 2015 Hystrio Award for Best Actress. Since 2017, in the company LaFilostoccola / Teatro Virginian from Arezzo, I have participated in the artistic management of the theater as an actress, director's assistant and held theater workshops. I work with Italian directors including Eugenio Allegri, Silvio Peroni and Simone Luglio.
In 2019 I participated as an actor in the 58th Venice Biennale: show of virtual reality "Gymnasiaproject" directed by C. Lavis and M.Szczerbowski, produced by the National Film Board of Canada. In the same year I participated in the 76th Venice Film Festival as an actress: Virtual Reality / Immersive Theater THE KEY directed by Celine Tricart (Lucid Dreams Prod.), Winner of the Jury's Grand Prize for Best Virtual Reality Project.

In 2017, I moved to Denmark and began teaching physical theater, mask techniques, and training methods at various schools and cultural institutes across the country, including Aarhus University, CISPA, the Actor Academy, VIA University College, and Kongernes Jelling/National Museum.In 2019, I established the theater company HumanLab, which creates cultural experiences and artistic research in collaboration with institutions throughout Denmark. HumanLab's latest project, NORDICOMÆDIA, received support from both the Italian Cultural Institute and the European Cultural Region. In Denmark, I collaborate as a performer with ArtFarm (production Akrylarium) and The Flying Theater (projects Low/High Altitude and SuperOle). Additionally, I am an expert in mask techniques and Active Analysis.

Mariano Pugliese is a cognitive scientist - with focus on social cognition, interaction, and culture. Mariano graduated in 2016 in Comparative Languages, Literature and Culture at Università degli Studi di Napoli L’Orientale, Italy. He attended the Master's course of Cognitive Semiotics at Aarhus Universitet, Denmark, from which he graduated in 2020 with his Master thesis on “Digital Joint Action” with a passing grade of 12/12.
Mariano is part of our team in the projects Nordicomædia as cognitive scientist.
He is Scientific Lead & IT Team Management in the project TRIC-The Right Choice.

Martin Schultz Kristensen
Jeg er uddannet moderne danser ved Balance 1, Contemporary Dance Academy, i Berlin, og har været 3 års fuldtidsansat som danser på tysk teater. Efterfølgende har jeg været primus motor på at stifte foreningen ArtFarm, hvorigennem jeg som kunstnerisk leder har producere egne værker. I dette virke har jeg hovedsageligt stået for salg og funding af forestillinger, administrationen og været med som danser. Jeg har i løbet af årene udviklet en stor erfaring som danselærer, både inden for contemporary og hiphop genren. Har undervist improvisation siden 2012 og for professionelle siden 2016. Dybdegående færdigheder som danser med en professionel
teknik indenfor urban contemporary, samt en stor forståelse for scenen.
Ved siden af dette er jeg administrerende leder af Campus Dance Academy, med unge i alderen 16-20 år, hvor jeg organisere gæstelærere, skemalægning og forestillinger samt underviser. Jeg er danser i forestillingen Terminus.

MengTing Liu A Taiwanese professional dancer based in Denmark. She is also a producer and a choreographer from her own company, MaiTi Dance Company. Since 2014 she's working at Gerhart Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau, Germany (Wee dance company) with Marko E. Weigert & Dan Pelleg. She organized many different projects together with a Danish organization Art Farm, including the 2022 "Chinese new New Year show" in Kolding, Denmark. 2021 "contemporary painter". 2019 "danceOmatic"... 2020 she also organized 8 online artists' talks, with 18 artists coming from 10 different countries. She is also the choreographer behind the short piece "Talker", which in 2016 got selected to perform in the International SoloDuo Dance Festival 2016. MengTing is performer in our show Terminus.
Shaeema Zaman Ahmed the founder of Science Melting Pot, is a physicist and science communicator who moved to Denmark from India for her PhD at Aarhus University. After completing her PhD, she started Science Melting Pot driven by her passion for science outreach and her concern for the challenges in achieving gender equity and ethnic diversity in the scientific community. Her research experience spans quantum physics education and outreach. She works to convey scientific concepts in an aesthetic way through theatre and art installations. She is also one of the board members of the Kvinder i Fysik/Women In Physics group in Denmark.
